We are Laura & Florian
We’re so glad you’re here! We, Florian (46) and Laura (38), fell in love with this old natural stone house in Proceno – and with the countryside around it. Together with our three dogs Gerda, Flash and Snoopy, we have turned Il Casino into a place where you arrive, take a deep breath and want to stay.
We want you to feel completely at home – whether you come with family, friends or your dog. We look after the villa ourselves and are personally there for you.
From bare shell to a home away from home
When we bought the house in 2024, it was a bare shell. What it has become is full of handiwork, heart and soul, and many hours on the building site.
The purchase
A natural stone house from 1859 as a bare shell – with thick walls, old wooden beams and a view that won us over instantly.
The renovation
From groundwork to interior finishing, we did it all. We even built a road up to the house. Experienced craftsmen and a local structural engineer supported us – and no job was too much for us.
The opening
At the end of April 2027 Il Casino opens to guests – with a private pool, a fenced garden and everything we would wish for on a holiday ourselves.
Your hosts
Laura
I’m a passionate dog trainer (dogbeats.de). My goal: for families and dogs to feel equally at home here. I also love restoring old furniture – I refurbished several pieces in the house myself, and Il Casino is lovingly furnished with things we mostly found here in Italy.
Florian
Florian knows his way around building and gardening and guided the renovation with a lot of expertise – from the first spade in the ground to the finished garden. Whenever there’s work to do outside, he gets stuck in.
Gerda, Flash & Snoopy
Our three dogs – Gerda the boxer, Flash the husky and young Snoopy – have explored every corner of the property. Their verdict: fully fenced, lots of room to run around – this is the life.
Lots learned, lots achieved
We laid bricks, painted, poured concrete and brought old furniture back to life. Our handprints in the fresh concrete are the loveliest reminder.
Now we’d like to share all this experience: Il Casino should be a place where everything is just right for you – from the cosy bed to the dog bowl.
For families
Plenty of space, a safe garden, cot and high chair on request.
For dogs
Fully fenced: 1.80 m high and sunk 30 cm into the ground, so no dog gets out – and a dog trainer as your host.
Personal
We take care of everything ourselves and are always reachable.
